APPEARANCE

Elveren is a female blood elf (born a high elf) of average height for her kin (around 175 cm or 5'8 ft). She is locked in a constant battle against her weight, shifting between fasting to atone for her sins and indulging in feasts. Scolded from an early age to not gorge on food like the wretched gorges on crystals, Elveren is obsessed with her image, determined to always attempt to present herself as well as possible. She is voluptuous and curvy, enhanced by tightly laced corsets. Her eyes, half-hidden by heavy lids, glows with the characteristic fel-green color of her kin, and the hint of a smile plays on her plump lips. Her hair is blue-black and straight, falling down to her waist and often shielding part of the left side of her face. She prefers to wear it loose, but will also braid it, wear it in a bun or for special occasions arrange it in an elaborate manner, decorated with gold and jewels. Both of her ears have three small jewels.

PERSONALITY

From an early age, Elveren has had an obsessive personality; quickly growing zealous about her interests. This was one of the reasons that led her to the path of a priestess, and she remains as an adult obsessive about her faith (though with her own... spin on it). Raised by rather strict parents, Elveren tends to wear a mask to conceal her emotions, playing the part of an easy-going, smiling and playful woman. Deep inside she suffers from insecurities (mostly surronding her looks and wether she is desirable as a mate or companion or not) and tends to brood a lot when alone. She is very curious - sometimes too curious, making her intrusive and frankly rather annoying.

Those close to her may call her 'Elv', but she does not share this nickname with many, and feels uncomfortable when someone calls her that without her permission (as in, she has not yet shared that nickname with them).

When she is around those from her childhood/youth (or around those who have shit on her that could damage her composure and reputation), Elveren is tense, unsmiling and quiet, always fiddling with a ring or a bracelet, touching her hair, suffer from restless hands and legs. She tries to stay optimistic and not get annoyed or angry often, as it is unseemly for a lady. Instead she turns her anger inside against herself, blaming herself for various disappointments and failures. Elveren is almost frightened of revealing any negative emotions, feeling as if it is a huge failure to let the steam out and allow others to see her as vulnerable.

HABITS AND QUIRKS

Elveren tends to go too fast and too intensive, whether it be with people or new interests. Whilst she is interested in gossip and drama, she wishes to take no part in the action herself, rather staying at the edge of it. She keeps her own organized mess and really doesn't like when people interfere with it. Elveren likes to eat a bit of sweet after something salt, and she drinks more wine that what would be wise. She is neither fit nor athletic, and before she had her caravan built she would travel by ship, horse or carriage, but these days she steers her own path. She is also a frequent liar, whether it be to create a second identity or to deceive men, which she justifies as 'white lies' or 'if they don't find out, it won't hurt.'

One of her possibly worst sins is that she is often in denial, refusing to acknowledge something that she wishes not to hear. This has frustruated her companions throughout the years a lot, and contributes strongly to that she is often left alone. Elveren tends to want to shield herself from some of the harsh reality and prefers to live in her own blissful little bubble.

SKILLS AND TALENTS

Elveren is fluent in Thalassian, Orcish and Common, speaking the two latter with a strong accent. She loves to read and does so often and fast, and also has a reoccuring interest in painting. Whilst she is well used to sweet-talking men, she has little to no experience with children, and tends to not get involved with them.
She has a somewhat moderate knowledge and interest in tailoring; the sewing and stitching itself doesn't interest her too much, but she is very allured by the ability to design after her own taste. She loves to take inspiration from other cultures and styles, rethink it and make it in her own style (the caravan was her largest but neither first nor last project).

RELATIONSHIPS

A large part of Elveren's family was wiped out in the Third War, but her mother and two younger sisters are still alive and well. Sometime after the war and an appropriate time of grieving, Elveren's mother wed again, and thus Elveren has a stepfather and his side of the family aswell, though she is reluctant to call them 'hers'.

As for romantic relationships, they are non-existent. She had her betrothed as a youth, and prior to that she had awkwardly and shyly kissed a few boys (and girls, but that's a secret), but not been in love. These days Elveren's romantic encounters are simply based upon a simple concept - dangle the carrot before them, receive the confirmation that she is desirable, and before the deed is ever done she sneaks off, leaving them hot and bothered. She does acknowledge that what she is doing is 'impure', so these encounters are followed by atonement in the form of fast, prayer, meditation and solitude.

Elveren is only attracted to men (whilst acknowledging the beauty of women, she has no interest in them other than a kiss here and there), and the common 'target' of her play is a male blood elf (or high elf, though they tend to shy away from her) or a hybrid with clear elven features.

Due to constantly being on the move and her tendency to go too intensive too fast, Elveren has few friends. Most familiar faces are scarcely more than acquaintances, familiar bartenders and innkeepers, other bounty hunters and dockmasters. She does have one steady companion whom she met whilst partying in Shattrath, an orc warlock by the name Maalik. They quickly became drinking buddies and later went on campaign in Northrend and Pandaria together. They've shared tent and cramped beds hundreds of times, but claim that they are strictly friends, often mocking and teasing each other to prove that there is certainly no romantic affection between the two.

STYLE

Elveren loves to dress up. She wears almost exclusively red adorned with gold, and works black in where she can and finds appropriate. She will absolutely not wear white, as it reminds her of weddings and her own 'failure' (as she sees it).

BACKSTORY AND HISTORY

Elveren is a female blood elf, originating from Eversong Woods. Though she remains secretive about her age, she was born and raised in a rather small and idyllic village to a lesser noble family. and was alive and no longer a child during the Third War. She survived the war, but lost family members to the Scourge, her father and several uncles among them.

A priestess in training, Elveren did not attend the front lines of battle, but stayed in the background to care for the injured and dying. Needless to say, she like the rest of her kin and kith, was traumatized by the ravage of her homeland. Unlike some others of her kind, Elveren desperately clang onto her faith, extremely reluctant to abandon that which had granted her comfort and confidence during her younger years. Her faith and piety had grown to be a major part of her.

With the Sunwell ruined, Elveren and her family took to feeding on the fel. Elveren met another survivor of the war, fell in love and found herself happily betrothed to a man she was certain her father would have approved of. In the grim aftermath of the war, Elveren indulged in her new blooming relationship, using it as her relief and comfort almost to the same extent as she did her faith. She often happily described it as 'living a dream' to those who would care to listen. The dream turned into a nightmare on the day of the wedding, as the groom was nowhere to be found, apparently having fallen victim to cold feet in the last moment and left. Elveren was crushed, and refused to believe it to be true. She began to dig deeper, believing her beloved to have been forcefully separated from her, only to find out that her betrothed had indeed gotten cold feet - and ran off with his own lover.

Distraught, crushed, humiliated and fearful of being the new laughing stock of the village, Elveren chose an escape by signing herself up for the expedition to Outland. She was sent out - not as the elite group but as one of the laggards - to Outland, but it too would become a decision she'd regret. Not having thought through her departure thoroughly, Elveren and many others were distraught when they learned what had befallen their prince. She sided with the Scryers and abandoned Kael'Thas' campaign, and was partying wildly in Shattrath City whilst the prince was defeated in the Eye.

Having spent the majority of her time in Outland in Shattrath, drinking wine, flirting and receiving sour glances from the Aldors, Elveren decided it was time for a chance when the call to Northrend reached her ears. She was eager for adventure and quickly joined the troops to Northrend, whilst she partook in the assault on Naxxramas. She spent far too much time in Dalaran, endulging in all things slothful and sinful, and did not join the assault on Ulduar, but she did visit the Trial of the Crusader (her participation was minimal and rather disappointing). Ever the latecomer, Elveren finally lifted her butt from the comfortable cushions of the Sunreavers' Sanctuary and joined the assault on Icecrown Citadel. She had not made it far when word reached that he'd already fallen.

Elveren shrugged off her disappointing merits in Northrend and returned to Dalaran, where she remained with the Sunreavers until news of the cataclysm reached their ears. Eager for a new challenge, Elveren fought with one of the earliest troops to conquer the Bastion of Twilight, but was injured and unable to continue the fighting, which she was very disappointed about. She recovered and joined the fight against the Firelands, and was much more pleased with her efforts there. She did often complain it was "too hot", but was extremely impressed with the magnificent firebirds.

She accompanied other adventurers and the Wyrmrest Accord against Deathwing, but was once again injured upon arriving in Pandaria and had to rest. Urged by one of her companions, an orcish warlock, they both joined the assault on the Throne of Thunder, but jarred by what she'd seen in the depths of the fortress, Elveren refused to fight on the front line anymore, stating that she was not a soldier and too weak-hearted. She abandoned Orgrimmar and was not a part of the rebellion, but her warlock companion did not share her listlessness and they parted ways.

After the rebellion and the downfall of Garrosh, Elveren and her companion were reunited again. But with him, he brought ambitions, and she found herself faced with the resurface of an old decision.
